Art as Medicine
A six week introduction to exploring expressive arts for the purpose of healing and connection.
Welcome!
Art has been my medicine in more ways than one.
My own creative practice has grounded me through many seasons of life and helped me stay connected to myself and to others. In moments of overwhelm, transition, and healing, art has offered me a way to slow down, listen inward, and breathe.
This class was born out of that personal experience and a desire to offer this same “medicine” to the community. Especially during a time when we could really use it.
This workshop is an invitation to gently engage your inner world through accessible, trauma-informed creative practices. No art experience is needed. The focus is not on making something perfect, but on using art as a tool for awareness, expression, and emotional release. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace, guided by curiosity and compassion.
My hope is that you’ll leave feeling more connected to yourself and with creative tools you can return to again and again.
Warmly,
Lauren
